“I went on this tour expecting it to be like several of the other ones I have taken when I am on vacation. This tour was amazing as we learned some of the history of Malta, went to the Sunday market and took a boat tour of the Blue Grotto. Mark was very impressive as he translated the tour in three languages (English, French and Italian). A great time was had by all and we were back by 130 PM”

2.Malta: Marsaxlokk, Blue Grotto, and Qrendi Guided Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.1 · 547 reviews · 4 hours · from $45

Travel from Valletta by air-conditioned bus to Marsaxlokk’s fishing harbour, the Blue Grotto, and Qrendi. Guides such as Chantelle, Fabi, and Elisabeth have been praised for warm, lively commentary. The optional grotto boat ride depends on sea conditions and costs extra.

“The guide was very friendly and informative. We went to the Blue Grotto first which meant we were able to beat the worst of the queues, thank you for that. The little village of Qrendi was lovely as it was good to see traditional Malta. Marsaxlokk was a lovely picturesque location but unfortunately for us was actually spoilt by the market. It took up the whole of the harbour which meant we couldn’t walk along the water edge and was exceptionally busy. We were hoping to still have a walk along the water.”

“It was an amazing experience! The Blue Grotto was absolutely beautiful, the most beautiful place I have seen in Malta. The tour with the SUP was in the morning, before there were other people. This was the best part, because it was sooo calm and relaxing to be there only with our own group, to chill in the sun and swim. Merve was a very nice guide. She showed us the most beautiful places and was good company with nice conversations. She also made the most beautiful pictures and videos from us!”
